Darrin applies the solid design and ergonomic principles with the added foundation of project delivery from PMI PMBOK and integrating the highly adaptive and collaborative driven Agile framework using Lean and Scrum processes.
Darrin's tertiary studies were in Industrial and Ergonomic Design at Wellington Polytechnic School of Design. For several years he worked in Interior and Furniture design and fitout where he won awards for his design work. In the late 80's he discovered the emerging Digital Production industry and was soon delivering cutting edge graphics and invitations to to the USA to visit Adobe and design studios.
By the 1995 Darrin was producing websites for adventure and travel companies and hosting outdoor live webcams featured in USA Today and national TV News. On return downunder in 2000 he worked for IT Manager for BTC, a fast growing independent traveller agency group. Then managed one of BTC's products, Traveltribe Internet Cafes, and grew the brand to be the largest Australasian internet cafe network. in 1994 began managing Base Backpackers and Backpacker's World internet cafes until promotion to as the groups IT Director.
In 1996 he formed 2D2T to project manage and deliver IT and Online solutions that have gone on to deliver projects for South Australia Tourism, Base Tourism, Catholic Health Australia, Harvest Pilgrimages, Beyond Travel, Tas Vacations and more.
He has been keynote presenter at Traveltech's No Vacancy conference, Backpackers Operators Association NSW, Choice Hotels Conference.
